Free Zoom Training

SLCREA Members,
The 2020-2021 year may begin with virtual meetings. ​Therefore, if you are interested in attending a FREE ZOOM Training, Please Read the following..  Zoom can be accessed via your computer or cell phone.  
However, if you do not have a computer, you may attend the meeting by calling in on your cell phone or landline.
The training sessions will make utilizing the technology simple and productive.

​Basic Zoom training session on Tuesday, July 7th @ 4pm
This week’s session is for those who might be using Zoom or perhaps you are in interested in learning what Zoom is all about.
Advanced Zoom training on Tuesday, July 14th @ 4pm. Perhaps this session is for you if you have a Zoom account and will be hosting your own Zoom meetings and Sharing Presentations.

It’s That Time!

It is that time of the year – again. Time for membership dues to be paid for the 2020 – 2021 year.

Yearly dues are $55.00, with $35.00 going for state membership and $20.00 for local membership. Make checks payable to SLCREA. Mail your dues to: Pat Davis, 5571 NE Scepter Drive, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34983.

Do not mail checks to Texas.

February 27th Meeting

The February meeting of the SLCREA will be on Thursday the 27th. If you have not yet made reservations the last day to do so is Friday the 21st as the caterer needs a final count. Email “yes” and your name to Bonita Williams: famuaka13@aol.com. You may invite family and friends to the luncheon; be sure to include them in you reservation.

For this special February Black History Program and Luncheon the meal will be catered by Diane’s Catering. The cost of the lunch will be $15.00 per person. The meeting will be at St. Paul AME Church at 11:00. The address for St. Paul AME Church is 1405 North 27th Street in Fort Pierce. We are asked to wear African attire or something red, green and/or black. An excellent program has been planned by the Entertainment Committee.

FLARA

There will be a FLARA meeting on January 17th at 317 E Midway Road, Ft Pierce at 11:00 am. Free lunch will be provided. Call Ted at 561-324-6636 to reserve your place. Help protect Social Security and Medicare.

Also, the FLARA Legislative Trip to Tallahassee will be on February 10th through 14th. Walking distance to all meetings, Meet with lawmakers. Contact Felicia Bruce at 516-359-3721 for more information.

November Meeting

Our November meeting will be a Thanksgiving luncheon on November 21st. We will meet at 11:00 am at CA Moore Elementary. Please bring Children’s books, new or slightly used, to be donated to CA Moore Elementary. Also bring unwrapped Christmas gifts for Communities Connect to Kids. If you have collected bottle caps, they will be accepted by Felicia Bruce at the meeting.

Keep in mind the Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 6th at 11:00 am. We will be meeting at Gator Trace County Club.

Congratulations

Congratulation to Mr. Harry B. Williams, President Elect of the SLCREA, District 9. Mr. Williams has received “The Superior Services” Award. This award was presented by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. during their Achievement Week. Congratulations.

SLCREA October Meeting

A general meeting will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2019. It will be a “bring your own bag lunch — just like grammar school”. 11:00 a.m. Bring guests.

Children’s Books

Children’s books are needed for C. A. Moore Elementary. Please bring them to our next meeting: Thursday, October 31st at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. They will be presented to C. A. Moore Elementary at out Thanksgiving Luncheon. The November meeting will be at C. A. Moore Elementary School, Thursday, November 21st. at 11:00 am.
