April SLCREA Meeting

Reminder:
The April SLCREA meeting will be on Thursday, April 25th
We will meet at Heathcote Botanical Garden at 11:00 a.m.

Don’t forget to bring a bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided.

Admission $6.00
Our guest will be the 5th grade essay winner and scholarship recipient.

Also: If you are planning to go on the Daytona boat trip, deposit $30.00 now due. Contact Bonita Williams for information.

Trolley Tour of Ft. Pierce

The SLCREA is planning a Trolley Tour or the city of Fort Pierce on the 18th of April. We need a total count of those who would like to participate. the total count is needed by April 11. The cost of this trolley tour will be $10. Please respond ASAP to Bonita M. Williams @ 772-370-9003.

SLCREA Trip in May

Dolphin of Daytona Paddle Boat:

The Magic Carpet Bus will transport us to Daytona Beach, FL on Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Cost: $60.00 (includes bus ride, paddle boat and meal)

A deposit of $30.00 is needed to secure your seat. Balance will be due in May. Please invite guest(s) to cruise and dine with us. The Magic carpet Bus will pick up at the St. Lucie County Administration Annex located on the corner of 25th Street and Virginia Avenue in the Park and Ride parking area.

Upcoming January Events

Friendly Reminder: Our next meeting is on January 24 at Fort Pierce Central High School’s Cobra Cafe @ 11am. Cost: $12.00 plus a Tip for the students. 

If you signed up for the Saint Augustine trip, $40 is needed for the Bus cost. Saint Augustine will include the Trolley Tour for a cost of about $26. We will decide on a location to eat lunch. 

The MLK parade is Monday, January 21. Please support the endeavors of the SLCREA.

General Minutes

 

The regular meeting was held at C.A. Moore Elementary Media Center with a Thanksgiving Luncheon. Meeting was called to order by President Joan McKinnon. Members were given a welcome.

Inspiration was given by Fannie Henderson

Minutes from October meeting were read silently and approved.

Treasurer’s report was approved and filed for audit.

Birthday celebrated for November was done by Fannie Henderson.

Entertainment: Bonita Williams invited Westwood Chorus for entertainment; a donation was given to the Chorus. They did a beautiful program about the things they were thankful for.

Christmas Gifts for the Communities Connected for Kids were given by members.

Bonita Williams is still taking names for the trips.

The surveys forms for the Social Activities was done, I did not get the count.

Lunch was served.

Meeting adjourned.

Books for the school C.A. Moore were labeled.
